Ex-Heroes by Peter Clines

3.0

Other reviewers have stated it better, but I was pretty disappointed with this book. The premise lends itself to such an exciting read, but it ultimately is pretty dull to get through. Clines dishes out every cliche in storytelling for a lot of these heroes that just age this book in a terrible way.

There’s nothing here in this genre mashup that hasn’t already been done (albeit better) in other novels. Someone described Clines as the lovechild of JJ Abrams & Joss Whedon and, to me, that says everything you need to know about this book. Oof
