I admit that after a cursory glance at the synopsis, I grabbed this book thinking I was checking out a sci-fi novella. Instead I got a beautiful celebration of memory, family, and self with a bit of Chilean history in there as well. Every sentence is SO thoughtfully constructed with some of the most beautiful turns of phrases I've ever read. It's a powerful little book!
Moderate: Pregnancy and Medical content
Minor: Grief and Murder
