Terry Pratchett is always an easy way to get back into reading after a long time away. Thief of Time is an underrated classic of the Discworld series. It's a story all about identity and purpose, family and friendship defying Time and Space. Unlike some Discworld novels, it doesn't require a huge amount of pre-reading (though maybe give Mort and Small Gods a go first). Funny, heartwarming, and a thoroughly charming read. All things I'd expect of from the great Terry Pratchett.
