Feral: Losing Myself and Finding My Way in America's National Parks by Emily Pennington
Did not finish book. Stopped at 31%.
This book seems to have a marketing problem. I, like many other readers, really zeroed in on the "national parks" part of the cover text. However, this book is more about the author's emotional journey of dealing with a pandemic and a breakup and the expectations of this life-long dream trip.
I had to DNF because the pacing was inconsistent and I had a difficult time following the timeline. Also, some chapters were too long for what they were! Also, I found myself annoyed at the author's travel style. Her commitment to her plan even in the face of adverse weather and a global pandemic was not something I wanted to read about.
