Invisible Strings: 113 Poets Respond to the Songs of Taylor Swift
by Kristie Frederick Daugherty
If you know me, you know I don't reach for poetry. You also might know that I have a quiet love for Taylor Swift - I think she's brilliant and talented, but I don't go out of my way to buy anything or see the concerts or whatnot.
That being said...
What drew me to this collection was not the Swift aspect, but the large variety of different poetic styles in use. Some are simple, some are complex. Some can be read very quickly, some take a moment. Some feel traditional, and some just jump off the page in their uniqueness.
As a poetry collection, I enjoyed this very much. The Taylor Swift magic was an added sparkle on top.
