"I'm jealous of the air you breath because it gets to kiss your lips."
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
My second book by Maggie, and she's 2 for 2.
Ryan Ford the man that you are.
We have the MMC who dares Willow to date him for 3 months to preserve his career.
Then we have the MMC who will protect Willow through quite literally everything; while also raising hell to do so.
"Ryan Ford was the most potent, addictive drug. And I wanted more."
Willow was... a lot. I loved her and her confidence to do whatever the hell she wants and taking no crap from anybody (mostly), all while loving herself.
She's stubborn and fierce, and I absolutely adored her fiery nature, while watching her grow through her grief.
She's loyal to a fault; and I relate to her far too much.
"That girl was hellfire and sweet sunsets; aflame in every way."
I loved seeing the relationship between these two evolve and blossom into what it became.
The meet cute? Cute!
The banter? Fantasic!
The flirting? Yes please!
I felt that the pacing was perfect, with the spice perfectly balancing the plot.
"Stop being the good guy you are, and fuck me like the bad boy you were supposed to be."
This book ripped my heart out, smashed it into pieces, put it back together with toothpicks and Band-Aids, and gave it back to me.
I'd read it again in a heartbeat.
Thank you, Maggie and the Author Agency, for the opportunity to read this eARC!
