Okay…so, this book was an interesting read if for no other reason than the “Lovecraft” part of the name was way way back burner to the actual plot of the book (update from the future: I now understand Lovecraft and Cosmic horror are interchangeable, and the title makes more sense)

There are some racist white men who run a group similar to the masons but are more…I wouldn’t call them religious but also just…crazy? I don’t know, it’s weird

There were definitely some horror aspects to it and Horace’s section did legitimately scare me more than I thought it would

But, it’s not a bad read. Just, know once you get past the George/Montrose chapter it’s going to crawling in pacing…ugh…
