I listened to this on audio. It was so long, I can't believe it was only 300 pages! I had to check it out from the library twice. This follows five queer women in Uruguay in the 1970s-80s. If you want to read about what life is like for political and societal "subversives" in a dictatorship, this book is a well-written set of stories. It's sad and funny all at once, but mostly sad.
Graphic: Homophobia, Sexual assault, and Sexual content
Moderate: Adult/minor relationship and Torture
