The balance and pacing gave everything it needed to give and then some! Alexis’s word play had me transported onto the Isle and tasting the steam on my tongue! The world building was so well woven and I connected to the cast of characters so intimately!
Our FMC holds her own without sacrificing herself and commands the attention of the room flawlessly! Watching her come into her identity may or may not have made me cry.
The slow burn ignited and never fizzled and the pay off was PERFECTION!
