Don’t let the cutesy title and cover fool you, this book is an emotional rollercoaster. At nearly 600 pages, this one is long for a romance novel but the emotional depth and realism achieved make it worth the read.

What makes this story work is that Lexi is literally life and death desperate when they agree to fake date. Her story is incredibly compelling and her relationships with family and friends

Initially, the mmc Damian is kind of terrible. 60% through the book he had grown some, but I still wasn’t sure I’d be able to forgive him. Boy was I wrong, after the last 200 pages I consider him a fully redeemed asshole 💓😂

I found it refreshing that both main characters had realistic reasons to enter this fake dating agreement. I feel like this trope is saturated with deals and agreements that literally make no sense, so it was nice to see both characters have some real stakes in it.

I highly recommend this one and will definitely be reading the sequel when it comes out! Also, just a hunch but I feel like fans of Hannah Grace’s Maple Hills novels will really enjoy The Girlfriend Agreement.
