Noelle W. Ihli is the absolute queen of suspense and thrillers, and she did not miss a beat with Gray After Dark. From the jump, I was enthralled with how this story was going to play out. After finishing this one, I read some friends reviews and some @anita_thrill say that this is the “absolute best embodiment of ‘the best vs. the man’ argument”, and she is absolutely right. I’ll take the bear any day over the hideous, nasty men that are featured in this survival story. After finding out that this one was based on a true story too was absolutely mind boggling, and I love the way Ihli honored her at the end.
