My Fake Christmas Fiancé
by Julie Kriss
I stumbled onto this book because my Kindle recommended it based on my recent reading and I'm not even mad that a robot algorithm is invading my privacy because THIS was a good call! Well played, you creepy Kindle.
I loved this Christmas Romance! Wesley and Penny both work for their family's Christmas-themed companies and when their companies plan a merger it is conditional on Wesley and Penny getting married. They both think they have time to legally contest this requirement so they sign the contract. But as the year deadline inches closer and their legal options run out, will they have to get married after all?
Okay, so this plot requires you to suspend reality on this merger/marriage contract, but just go with it because this book is funny and sweet and HOT. Penny is smart and capable at work, although she never receives the recognition (or pay) she deserves. She's a bit uptight and prone to panicking and shout-talking in awkward situations. Wes is a smoking hot playboy who is easy going and playful. He's the opposite of Penny, but these two have CHEMISTRY worthy of combusting your panties.
I loved these two and their quirky email banter and then face-to-face banter. I am so happy to discover this new-to-me author and I'm going to read the other two books in this series asap!
RATING:⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
STEAM LEVEL: Rated R
TRIGGERS: Parent in jail, workplace inequality/wage gap
