Sacrifice
by Brigid Kemmerer
It just ends without any actual resolution
How the f*ck has the author always intended the series to end with this book? Literally the only resolution for this series is that everyone who loves gets paired off in a couple.
Spoilers
So Hunter is just dead? Is that why he doesn't get a girl because the plan was to just kill him off without ever providing any indication that the power could kill the elemental?
Michael just doesn't have custody of the boys, or a home, or his business but story is over because he and Hannah decided to date.
They killed the most recent guide on their way to kill them all, but Irish said things are changing, and it's not like the Guides aren't going to continue to send more people to kill the Merrick's considering the multiple dead guides and the fact that a whole town almost blew up and or burned down.
None of the plot points are resolved outside of everyone is getting laid now.
And the author always intended this to be the conclusion to the series. This I mind boggling to me. She would fail even a middle school writing course with what she has put forth her as her conclusion. This is just an unacceptable f*ck you to the readers who followed the characters and their stories. Disgusted.
