Honey Girl
by Morgan Rogers
The plot synopsis on the back was charming, but the actual book failed to measure up. Writing was clunky attempting to be artsy, and the characters were not as well-developed as I'd like.
Also, small peeve: ALL the characters told the main character to stop crying any time she was crying. Maybe not the best thing to tell a protagonist who struggles with feelings of worth, burnout, and perfectionism.
