Great, strong General Ambessa is like a force of nature, taking everything in her path to secure the throne from the grass of her usurper cousin. Different POVs and characters are perfect for readers of action-adventure to the style of Amina Al-Sirafi. I was a bit lost in the beginning, thinking if this book could only be enjoyed by those who know the game and show, but as soon as Rell's chapters start, we focus on the plot, and we're in their world. It's one of those that is hard to put down with some emotionally sad chapters and action but badass moments, too.
I didn't love the end though a bit too fast.
