 Here is yet another lovely companion novelette to "The Hands of the Emperor" and "At the Feet of the Sun". (Once again: don’t read any of them without reading the novels!) 

 

I loved Féonie’s voice, and how the author took a minor character from THOTE and made her shine. 

 

“Féonie reminded herself that she was dauntless.” And so she is. 

 

It was wonderful to see the Fire Dance together with Féonie, and see Kip and His Radiancy through her eyes. The most precious thing of all, of course, is the story of how Kip’s Islander finery for the big ceremony came to be. 

 

The thing to do now is to patiently wait for Book 3… and read all the other books set in Nine Worlds :)
