Ataturk: The Biography of the Founder of Modern Turkey
by Andrew Mango
I had a hard time getting through this one. I was interested in the subject and admittedly, I do not know much about the end of the Ottoman empire and the rise of modern day Turkey. So I learned a ton from this book. It felt more like my history textbooks with the details of the events and ward and less on the stories. He is probably a hard person to understand but I felt that I wasn't getting as much of who he was. The writing is drier compared to other history books that I enjoy. It is not a bad book, just okay.
