Un meurtre est-il facile ? by Agatha Christie
3.0
Enjoyable enough read.
Very nice ambience, reminiscent of Marple small villages.
I first suspected the wrong person, all along until the end, neatly done indeed.
The eventual killer ran a tight ship indeed. nice plan. bad luck eventually though.
It was funny to me how quickly the romance happened, suspiciously quickly even, but i guess it was genuine.
One review went 'A retired policeman who is stupid and knows little about criminals.' and that's true tbh.
It is quite ... wacky to have the MC be a 'retired' police-officer be this much of a ... bumbling moron?
Didn't affect my enjoyment that much though, sorta excepted after he doesn't suspect ... well' read and find out.
Definitely understandable that this isn't one of her best work though, great crime mechanistic, but the character of Luke feels kind of flat.
