Hands down my favorite book. Re-read it recently, and loved it just as much as the first time. Really eager to read some of her other works. Gahhhh that ending though! The part that stuck with me the most is the letter Johnny wrote to Pony. Specifically the part about showing the sunset to Dally... Like that was sad, man :(

Edit: Third reading. Still my favorite book. It just... speaks to me. You-know-who 1's and you-know-who 2's death are sTILL SO PAINFULLL. I vaguely recall from my past readings that the last bit of the book is the best part, and um yeah, that's still accurate. Chapter 10 to the ending are amazing. Might try to dissect why exactly I feel this way, but like that's a lot of work :p

Edit 2: Fourth reading. Still the best book I've ever read... I agree with everything I previously said- chapter 10 to the ending are INCREDIBLE. I love this book more than words can express. My feelings toward this book are ineffable. HEHUSHHEJJDLGL
Also, new fave character... Sodapop. I've always liked him, but this time around he stuck out to me. He's the sweetest, most empathetic, most caring person I can think of in this book and I looove that.
