Lila by Marilynne Robinson

5.0

One of the most beautiful illustrations of grace I have ever read, Robinson's Lila wrestles with the question of belonging and the will to believe in the gift of undeserved love. A bildungsroman of a sort, Lila's development from an abandoned child to a pastor's wife who learns to trust the Rev. John Ames makes for an illuminating story about the beauty and mystery of life in the midst of difficulties.

Highly recommend!
