The Great Train Robbery by Michael Crichton

4.0

Props to Crichton for keeping me engaged all the way through, even when you know from the beginning that part of the crew is later nabbed by the police. Crichton has a way of raising curiosity about how the train robbery was pulled off and wow, Pierce definitely fits the description of a criminal mastermind! Crichton’s presentation of a historical event was excellently paced and a fascinating - if grim - look into the seedier side of Victorian society.
