I honestly can't believe it took me so long to both pick up this book and to finish it. Neil Gaiman has a marvelous poetic writing style that hook me completely, and the story is fascinating. I do acknowledge that it was quite different from the movie adaptation and than that's part of the reason why I lagged during reading it. Nevertheless, I wish I was able to give it six stars instead of five and I will certainly be reading this again in the future.
