Payback in Death by J.D. Robb

4.0

After the disappointment of the previous book, this one brought the police procedural series up to its normally high standard. Although I knew who did it from the start (after 57 books it's easy to see J D Robb's path) I didn't know the why. And as readers we don't confirmation of the why till near the end of the book, which was satisfying. Little contact with side characters but it felt that we checked in with them in this outing. A return to form for Dallas, Rourke and crew.
