As a rule I am against girlboss feminism but this one time I’ll let it pass

You know what? It wasn’t trash. I lowkey expected to be forced to turn each page with a cringe on my face but this book genuinely wasn’t bad. Yes, my bar was extremely low but I enjoyed reading it. It was a very leisurely read but it helped me relax when frantically house hunting in London.

I liked the main character even though she was sometimes too much of the “perfect and flawless badass lead”. We were allowed to see some of her weaker sides and I really appreciate the author for doing that. I am really tired of the generic “badass lead who fights the system and takes over power”. I’m very interested in where the story will go and how will the characters develop. My personal fav is Vivi and I really hope she gets more depth in the next books.

What is also A* is genuine enemies-to-lovers trope because by the end of this book yes, there is something between Carden and Jude but they still hate each other. You know what they say - there is nothing worse than a slowburn that gets resolved in the first book of the series.
