City of Ghosts by V.E. Schwab

I almost forgot to review this, lmao. Anyway, this book was quite good because Victoria Schwab knows wtf is up! I already enjoy things about the paranormal (Buzzfeed Unsolved), so I was like, "Yeehaw, I have to read this". The main character, Cass, had a 12 year old vibe (which she was supposed to have), and I thought that was well good. Cass is a twelve-ish year old who is able to cross over to the land of spirits and such because she has had a near death experience. She's best friends with this ghost kid, Jacob, who thinks Captain America is God. All good times. Her parents are basically Ryan Bergara and Shane Madej, so you know I was whipped. Her parents wrote books about the history of supposedly haunted locations. They get the chance to make a TV show about it, so they took their daughter with them to Edinburgh, Scotland. A lot goes down there, and I developed the urge to eat fish and chips. The ending made me very hyped for the sequel. I recommend all of Victoria Schwab's work. It's amazing.
