All She Wrote by Josh Lanyon

4.0

My favourite part of Josh Lanyon stories is always the relationship progression between the characters. It's a rare author who is confident enough in their skills to write a slow and normal paced relationship developing between two characters, without wrapping everything up in a nice little bow by the end of the story.

I wished for just one more chapter at the end of the book, and confess to reading the last few pages a few times to see if I'd missed something in the implied ending, but in all it's a very satisfactory mystery-of-the-novel story that still sets things up nicely for the next book.
