I've never read anything by Maggie C. Gates before, but I really enjoyed it!
I really like Christian and Cassandra. Cassandra was awesome. I was completely intrigued with her character! She is fierce, loyal, and fiercely protective of the people she loves. I love how grumpy she is! Christian is the world's most loving father who never seems to lose his temper. He also doesn't hesitate to follow his feelings and show them. It was interesting watching Christian and Cassandra grow into a relationship.
Christian's girls were also lovely. I like how he was teaching in them a strong sense of respect. My favourite moments in the book were the conversations they had with Cassandra!
