DNF. had high expectations for this book, and it really fell flat for me unfortunately. i also really feel like there should have been some triggers for the book or Something, because it's kinda crazy and not in a good way. this book seems to me as if it's very popular, so if it's on ur tor im going to add a spoiler so you know why i stopped reading this book.

there is a scene where a, 12? year old girl gets raped. by her cousin. and i know that it was like the 1800s, but i was still so appalled i truly could not finish the book. there is a lot of theme of sexual assault and womanly shame in the book that if you do not want to make yourself read those types of things, take it from me, just don't. one of the main characters is in an abusive relationship, the other is a child who gets raped, and the third is a woman shamed and sexualized for something she didn't do.
