Epilogue by CJ Roberts

4.0

The story lacks tension and interesting events, but the title is fitting. I rocked a wiki and scraped the definition of Epilogue: a piece of writing at the end of a work of literature, usually used to bring closure to the work. It is presented from the perspective of within the story; when the author steps in and speaks indirectly to the reader.

That said, this epilogue is a garrulous telling of an ending already provided in book 2. What makes it enjoyable is Caleb's POV. His character--selfish, cruel bastard that he is--remains consistent with the first two books. For that, I give Ms. Roberts a standing ovation. Somehow she maintained his cantankerous personality, but managed to develop the POV in a manner worth reading.

I would've been content with the series completion at book 2, therefore, I'm indifferent about this supplemental conclusion. It's a quick read, rife with sexy scenes. I recommend it for the more obsessive Caleb fans.
