It's a quick read, especially as Chewie's dialogue consists of various growls and other Wookie noises.
The story consists of Chewbacca making friends with young girl Zarro after she escapes from the mine she's been forced to work in.
Zarro convinces Chewie to set aside repairing his spacecraft to leave the planet to help her save her father and the other miners being held in slavery.
A rescue mission ensues but will it be in time to save everyone from the nasty Jaum who is selling his mined product to the Empire? With an imperial ship on the way Chewbacca will have to move fast.
Zarro is a fun character who comes up with plans with Chewie who is his usual lovable self. Well, lovable unless you're against him in which case dismemberment or being blown up are your two main options 😂.
Phil Noto's artwork is atmospheric and has a painted quality to it. Gerry Duggan's script is fast paced and true to character.
There's nothing momentous about this series but it's a fun escapade and a nice diversion from the main Star Wars and Darth Vader comics.
