The character of Maud is written with love and empathy which makes her endearing. Reading about someone suffering with alzheimers was sad but the author was able to break it up with some lightness and humour. The story line, I thought, was very clever bringing a past memory and weaving into her current thoughts to solve a mystery. It will be a book I'll remember for Maud.
