The Drowned Woods by Emily Lloyd-Jones

4.0

4.5 stars.

enjoyed it a lot!
The storytelling is what makes this book 4.5 stars for me.
It's written just like an old folklore story that you can set and read to the children.

Very well-paced, and the setting and characters are made of a prince, a thief, a spymaster, a diviner, and more. Plus the magic.

Loved the different points of view of the characters. we have about three main characters that lead the story.
The characters neither are good nor evil, they are more grey type. they are more like us, they have their good points and bad points and only the decisions they make throughout the story will tell if they are leaning more toward the villain or the hero.✨️

out of all of them, my fav is Fane, I love how his character is designed. he is dangerous and lethal and when he strikes he kills but when you get to know him he is more gentle and kind than anyone else.

the best part is you never know what will happen next.

Highly recommended!
