This was a pretty good continuation of the Miss Peregrine's series plot; however, I'm not sure that it needed to be separated from the 4th and 6th books. The pictures, which were a huge draw for me in the first few books, are starting to be very different. Some of them are specifically created only for this book and others are mere sepia toned conventional images. I feel that they don't add quite as much as they used to. I do like Jacob and Noor, and I'm excited to see them grow. On the other hand, Emma has basically been cut out of the story, which is not consistent with the previous series - I don't love drastic changes without good reasons in the middle of a series. Overall, the pacing was really good and I'm excited to read the final book in the series.
