As much as I loved her first book this one was more difficult to get through. I found it way less engaging and while I love the historical aspect amped up I didn't find it enjoyable enough for what issues I had with the story. Bits and pieces of the original tale are clearly picked up and while I like what was touched on I feel like leaving out the curse of atreus till the near end didn't make as strong an impact of Nestra and Aegisthus coming together for revenge. Some bits of this story were just better than others but in the end I'm glad I finished it.
