Having Our Say: The Delany Sisters' First 100 Years by A. Elizabeth Delany, Amy Hill Hearth, Sarah L. Delany

4.0

I enjoyed this little memoir with Sadie and Bessie Delany, recalling their lives as "colored" (the term they prefer) women in the America of the 1900s. There memories of their family, education, careers and every day life were interesting and their perspective refreshing. This book was written in the 1990s when they were both over 100 so I'm sure they are "gone to Glory" now, as they termed passing away, but I am glad I finally took the time to read this nice little book that I have had on my shelf for several years.
