The Hawthorne Legacy by Jennifer Lynn Barnes

This book would make such a good television series (pLEASE DON'T LET FREEFORM TOUCH THIS GOD.)

What a thriller and a romp this book was. it picks up immediately where the inheritance games left off and we're thrust into another mystery surrounding Avery and the Hawthorne family. Much drama is revealed and Tobias Hawthorne continues to be a tricky trickster even after death. Avery struggles with the fortune she's been left and the charming Hawthorne brothers.

The mystery of the family and the decades old trauma just kept unravelling and being so interesting and the way that Avery's intertwined with all of this. Good stuff.

The end wrapped up really nicely with a lot of the loose ends being tied up. I don't feel like there's a need for a third book in the series, but I'll take it. I enjoy reading Avery's character and the world of the Hawthornes.
