I listened to the audiobook version of this and I'm SO happy I did, the emotion in her voice added another dimension and was so raw and real. This gave me everything "I'm Glad My Mom Died" didn't: laid everything on the table, matter-of-fact honesty, did not shy away from her mistakes or blunders. Blair has an unflinching approach to topics like alcoholism, depression, suicide attempts, sexual assault, her own character flaws, an emotionally abusive childhood, a tumultuous relationship with her mother, falling into and out of love, pregnancy, motherhood, friendships, fame, and her lifelong battle with MS. One of the best memiors I've ever read.
