I Kissed a Girl by Jennet Alexander

Did not finish book. Stopped at 39%.
I tend not to like romances where one of the characters is in the process of coming out, so this was a hard sell for me. I didn’t want to read about Lilah’s struggles with biphobia and internalized homophobia - it’s just not for me. I also thought the movie setting would be more fun than it was. Maybe if you’re really into horror movies and pick up on the references, it would be more your thing.

The thing that really pushed this book into DNF for me was the stalker plot. When I go in to romances, I want them to be light and funny, and the fact that
Lilah keeps getting sent threatening emails and has a camera secretly put in her dressing room
was too much for me. I wish this aspect of the book had been better advertised, because I would have stayed away. Overall, not for me, and after reading some reviews I’m hoping to pick up a book that’s more my style
