The Sculptor's Funeral by Willa Cather

4.0

This is my first experience with Willa Cather; I've seen her books around and never picked one up until I was assigned this short story in my American Literature class. The story isn't the most exciting, but the way Cather writes about her characters and their relationships is very compelling. Even though some time has passed between me writing this review and having read the story, I continue to ponder about this story. I particularly wonder why Harvey Merrick would want his corpse to be transported back to his hometown.
