This series just keeps getting better. As with the others, because the books in this series are fairly short some aspects end up feeling a little rushed, but that's my only real complaint. The "magic" system if you will is pretty unique and the author keeps trickling in just the right amount of information to keep the reader on the hook. This book is a little different as it's told from a few more viewpoints. Cerine was a lovely addition, and I feel like we're getting to know Gerard a bit more. Terryn is still a beautiful enigma, and Ayleth is as determined as ever to do the right thing, whatever that may be. And the subtle relationship being built between Terryn and Ayleth is my absolute favorite kind. I'm 1000% invested. Can't wait for book 4!!!
