Dreams of Stardust by Lynn Kurland

It's very weird to me that the locations of Seakirk and Artane, both apparently in the north of England, are described as if they're quite close to each other, but it takes characters 3 hours by car or 3 days on horseback to make the trip, which would mean at least 200 miles. It's as if the author thinks England is much larger than it is or she has no sense of scale whatsoever.

Anyway, it's a reasonably entertaining story.
