Run Time by Catherine Ryan Howard

4.0

When Catherine Ryan Howard dropped the synopsis for Run Time, I immediately knew this book was going to be incredible. My intuitions were correct and its one of my favorite thrillers I've read this year.

A book about a horror movie filming taking a turn that it's suspiciously becoming a real life frightening situation? Hello? How can you not be intrigued?

I had to get my hands on it and my bookish wishes came true.

Being a reader that gravitates toward thriller and mysteries, I have a keen grasp on picking up the clues to the twists and the ending. Run Time is a nose-dive into a plot where you truly have no idea what is going to happen next. While I was reading, I rarely knew what was in store for our main character. Each chapter left me shocked and wanting more.

Catherine Ryan Howard wrote the story that I have been craving to read. It will get your heart-racing, leave you on the edge of your seat and make you want to binge the entirety of the 500 pages in one sitting.

I highly recommend this book for people who love Riley Sager, the minority of us who were disappointed in the plot of Plain Bad Heroines, and thriller fans who are looking for something "different" and "outside of the normal" horror story tropes.

Thank you Black Stone Publishing for sending me an early edition to review. This has been one of my top anticipated reads for 2022 and I was not disappointed.

Add this to your TBR list, set aside space for it in August and pre-order it right now. This is a thriller you're not going to want to miss out on reading.
