The Mary Shelley Club by Goldy Moldavsky

4.0

This book gives every scary movie a spotlight and a big pat on the back of appreciation. I’m a HUGE scary movie lover (even though I use multiple pillows as a protective barrier to watch through). I loved that for the main character, she has this idea that scary movies actually help her with her trauma. It was a unique perspective to take control over being scared, which is really what the club represents. I won’t give anything else away because you should read this one. It is the perfect October read. You basically have stepped onto the set of Scream for this one.
