Long Hard Ride
by Lorelei James
This was actually my second time 'reading' this book. I first read several in this series years and years ago, enjoying it a far amount. I decided I wanted to give it another go and got it on audiobook to enjoy while at work. Well, this is maybe a tad too hot for work but I enjoyed it just as much the second time around. Then again, I didn't remember too much from before so it was almost like the first time.
Channing runs away from her boring life to follow the rodeo and get some excitement. After she finds out the cowboy she has been hooking up with is married, she ditches him but finds herself in a small town with no transportation. When a hot cowboy who has been flirting with her for weeks makes her a proposition, she finds herself not wanting to refuse. Even when it means being the 'buckle-bunny' for three hot cowboys during the last two weeks of the rodeo.
Lots of hot hot sex follows, included some nice cowboy-on-cowboy action and even some falling in love. It is a typical HEA but very enjoyable and plenty hot. I think I will skip the next few books in the series in favor of Trevor and Edgard's story (the hot cowboy-on-cowboy action guys). Well worth a read or a listen (though I have to say the narrator REALLY annoyed me with her pronunciation of Calliope. I say it should be pronounced Ca-Lie-Ah-Pee but the narrator thinks it is Cal-Lee-Op.)
10-star rating: *******(7)
