Nocturnal Serenade: Nocturnal Alliance: Prequel 2 by Ramona Mainstrom

3.0

(I was provided an eARC by BookSirens in exchange for an honest review.)

it was a quick and chill read with similar vibes to anne rice's the vampire chronicals. i liked the writing style and the setting. there were some interesting formatting in the story, which i truly enjoyed. the poetry-like formatting really enhanced my reading experience. but there were some dated lines that made me question things a little. thankfully, those were very little.

frank, and matthias' intimacy, despite the short length of the book, was shown well. be it sexual or romantic, it was obvious how much they craved each other.

but the first half was much better in comparison to the second half cause the second half took me out of the moment as i was enjoying the conflicts of the duo.
