I was lovinggggg this book up until half way through part 3
It just didn’t sit right with me the way the story went.
I loved the writing style and the way everything was explained in such depth that I could picture every scene in my head. I loved the direction the story was headed until it got there. And then it just fell flat for me. Wasn’t interested in where it was headed. Didn’t feel connected to the new love interest what so ever.

*spoiler-ish???*
I also found the spice in this book to be so damn unnecessary. I love a good spicey scene but a 17 PAGE SCENE IN PART THREE WAS SO UNNECESSARY!!!! This book explored really deep themes and was heartbreaking to read and the spice in it just felt so out of place. Idk.

It still was a great read and I did really enjoy most aspects, just not what I was expecting this book to be.
I did love the way this author explored the ugly side of grief and our main character moving on but THE WAY she moved on did not sit right with me. Idk. It felt forced by Adrian to find someone for her to love rather than her doing it on her own.
