So because I'm lazy I wasn't actually going to write a review for this but I got so ENRAGED at all the other reviews I felt I had to clarify why I didn't enjoy this book.

Most of the other reviews stated they didn't enjoy the book as it was "anti-Christian" or "harmful to society in its radicalness" or even "sexist towards men"...... yikes. I don't believe any of that about the book.

The reason I didn't enjoy it was as it was like a thriller, less-impactful version of the Handmaid's Tale. It didn't say anything that I didn't already know about in society, and very much forced its message down our throats. At one point it really said (in so many words) "I could have stopped things, if I'd only gone to marches and voted." Yikes.

Was much less of a political statement or an exploration of female position in society than an illogical heist story. Next time just read the Handmaid's Tale!!!
