I think the second book in the series had much more going for it; some of the things that annoyed me in the first installment (such as the endless repetition of things that had been mentioned before) had been fixed. I don't love the portions that are from the killers perspective, but that's a personal pet peeve - I normally don't like those in any book. In this case in particular, since I was listening to it rather than reading, it was doubly annoying because the narrator was extra dramatic during those parts.

That being said, I enjoyed this one. I don't love that Claire is a crazy mom, signing up for Cappuccino Connection just to screen guys for her daughter. But I have to say, that while it's a bit harsh for Claire,
SpoilerI was pleasantly surprised the author ended with Bruce's death. A lot of times, the love interest will miraculously be okay in these kinds of stories and I was glad they didn't pull away from it, although poor Claire!
