Maddie by Amber R. Duell, Candace Robinson

4.0

I actually really liked this.

Vampires aren't my deal, and sometimes I find vampire books hard to read, regardless of the otherwise plot.

But actually I think the vampire lore fit in really well with Wonderland, since the cast of characters never changes, even though the "Alice" does.

I love Maddie too. She's not as Mad as I think I would have liked, which is why I ended up giving this book four stars instead of five, but over all I found her charming. I loved how devoted she was to her sister and her descriptions of the hats she made. Noah was a tad bland to me, but that happens sometimes.

I the way all these characters fit into the new rules of the world was very interesting too. Mouse being Maddie's sister, Tweedledee and Tweedledum being werewolf children. The Rabbit being King Rav and Ches the Crown Prince.

I just thought everything was very interesting. I am eager to check out the second book when it comes out.
