In a Jam by Kate Canterbary
5.0
Warning: MMC with on page feelings
Canterbary does an excellent job writing a male with feelings, a child with trauma, and real friendships - three things that authors often get wrong. Supporting characters were good, but could have been developed more (too much tell not enough show). However, first book in a series does require a lot of explanation. If you appreciate a child who swears like a pirate, STEAMY scenes, and well written dialogue get this book right f’ing now ( as Gennie would say).
